It’s May. Time for me to say “where has the year gone?”. I feel like I’m finally moving forward in doing the things I want. First step, know what you want. I’ve spent much of my life not knowing what I want, and too scared to make a decision. But no more, it’s time to do things my way, unapologetically.
Well, I’m learning to. “Dare greatly” is my new motto. (Read the book if you haven’t already – it might just change your life).
My daring greatly achievements this month were to get my long hair all chopped off into a blonde (sometimes pink) faux hawk and to photograph a local but large music festival (check out my photos over on LUPO Magazine).
Both had me in knots before I attempted either, but both were incredible successes that left me feeling amazing. My new do makes me feel more like ‘me’ than I have in a very long time. And the festival is something checked off my bucket list that I didn’t even know was on there.
How many wonderful things are out there waiting for us that we don’t even know about? I’m excited to find out.
Making: Green smoothies. The wee lady and I both love them. Kale, cucumber, celery, apple, coconut water and OJ.
Cooking: Lots of pulled meats.
Drinking: Green smoothies and hot water with honey.

Marvelling: How much the wee lady is changing and learning to say.
Cringing: At the stupid things I’m doing.

Questioning: My thoughts and feelings as they arise. Can I change them to make me happier?
Smelling: My MIL’s perfume lingering in the car.
Wearing: These fab black converse platforms that I totally love.
