We’ve been to the beach! We made the time and (finally!) took a few days away. With gorgeous weather we spent time paddling our feet in the ocean and playing in the sand. We took some walks that seemed long for tiny legs and just generally spent time enjoying each others company.
It’s nice to get away from the general doing-ness of home. Where you can relax because you can’t see the piles of dust and washing, where you can eat out every meal and not feel guilty, where you can sit on the balcony and listen to and watch the waves rolling in.
The ‘busy-ness’ of the past month has left me a little brain dead with no energy for writing. I’ve written a few sporadic and sparse journal entries, usually right before the little one wakes for the day, a couple of LUPO things and that’s it. I’ve been quite tragic at reaching the writing goals I’ve set for myself. I did, however, get the big jar of pretty purple sauerkraut made, it’s fermenting busily in the pantry.
