After writing yesterday about not getting enough sleep, I had another night of too little sleep. Today was a case of do it anyway because I had a big list of work and home things to do. I was too tired – but I did it anyway.
After a busy day, and after tea I was so tired. I wanted to lie my head down and watch TV. But I’d made a commitment to myself to do 30 days of yoga and write my thoughts each day. So I did both.
This post has two points:
- We’re capable of so pushing ourselves so much further and harder than we realise. I think it was from Jocko Willink on the Tim Ferriss Show podcast that I heard him talk about this. It’s great, you should listen.
- Mel Robbins has taught me that to beat self sabotage, we must do what we need to do, even when we don’t feel like it or don’t want to. Mel is great too, check out her book, the 5 second rule and her youtube channel.
Next to read today’s page in The Daily Stoic and then I can rest.
P.S. Rest is so important, so please let your body get the rest it needs, especially if you’re fighting an illness or recovering from ill health.
