Not much photography has been happening lately. My day job and family are taking priority so I’ve been working on learning and the business side of things which I can do at night time and in spurts through the day. I’ve also been working on some things for LUPO mag as well. Pop over there and have a look.
I’ve hit a point where life just seems to be too full of ‘busy’. It’s time to reflect on what I can do smarter. So I’m reading some books that might just be able to help that, at the very least they’ll inspire me a little.
Making: lots of tea to get me through the long patches of busy
Cooking: salmon patties
Drinking: twinings decaf English breakfast tea
Reading: the four hour work week by Tim ferriss and the Icarus deception by Seth godin
Wanting: flash stand and modified

Playing: lots of wiggles
Deciding: what to spend my time doing, tossing up multiple business ideas
Wishing: for more time to read

Hoping: For genius to strike
Marvelling: at how fast miss 2 is learning to talk
Cringing: at people who really don’t think things through before speaking
Needing: a light stand, flash modifier and bracket
Questioning: the way we’re raised to become drones in a system that doesn’t do a lot for our mental health
Smelling: the flowering ginger outside
Wearing: pink slides that make my back feel good
Following: plenty of photography groups on facebook
Noticing: a lack of passion
Knowing: that I don’t want to keep working so hard
Thinking: about working smarter and how to go about it
Admiring: people with passion and purpose
Sorting: toys
Getting: excited about becoming a photographer
Bookmarking: the current photography book I’m reading
Coveting: lighting
Disliking: when people speak before they think
Opening: and closing the fridge
Giggling: miss two and her beautiful dancing and singing
Feeling: hopeful that things can change
Snacking: ocassionally on these gorgeous paleo sweet waffles at my favourite cafe (pic above)
