Who are you really? How do you identify yourself? Are you an artist, a musician, a composer, a reader, an employee, a sportsperson, a mum/aunty/sister/daughter … Which of these and other roles do you identify with yourself?
How many of these roles are ones you’ve created for yourself, from the activities that you love and make you happy? If you’re like me your list might look like; mum, wife, business owner, and wrangler of endless mess. As women we spend a lot of time relating our worth to how it fits with the people in our lives.
I want you to really think about the roles that you would like to give yourself. What passions do you have? What are those activities that give you so much pleasure you’d rather spend all day doing it? For me that encompasses reader, writer and photographer. I could spend all day on those activities but when I think of my roles in this life I default back to those that relate to other people, not those that I love to do just for my own pleasure.
So why can’t we give ourselves roles for our passions and not just the roles in relation to others?
So I’m a writer, photographer, reader, mum, wife, business owner and wrangler of endless mess.
What are your roles that you’d give yourself, just for you?
